The day you finally do the thing you’ve been avoiding

A full-day bootcamp for financial advisors who want to get in front of potential new clients and grow their businesses. You leave more confident than you arrived, with a blueprint for what comes next that you built yourself.

Both days run from 08:00 to 18:00.

This is not a day out of the office

It is a committed day of working on how you are going to grow your business and reach your goals. It is the uncomfortable work many advisors put off for years, usually because they weren’t sure what to do or how to go about it, and you will do it in a room full of advisors doing exactly the same.

You don’t need to arrive with the answers. You only need to arrive having decided that you are ready to do what it takes to move closer to the business you want, and the work of the day will meet you there.

The deciding is your part.

It was never about what to do

Early in the morning, we show you just how quickly prospecting strategies can be found, far more of them than any advisor could use in a year. We get that out of the way first, because strategy is not what has been holding you back. Knowing what to do is the easy part, and even the how is simpler than most advisors expect.

What gets in the way usually sits a little closer to home: the fear of rejection, quiet doubts about your own worth, and the stories you have told yourself about the kind of person who is good at this. Prospecting is not only about what you do. It is about who you are and how you show up in front of a potential new client.

So the day moves between the two, working on you and working on your plan, each one making the other possible.

That is where the confidence comes from.

How the day unfolds

Four parts, from first coffee to a signed commitment, with the work on yourself and the work on your plan woven through all of them rather than kept apart.

  1. 07:30Arrive to coffee, tea and something to eat
  2. 08:00We begin, sharpChecking in, and a look at the two small pieces of pre-work you bring with you
  3. 1Getting ClearYour numbers, your goals, and an honest look at what has really been in the way
  4. Break
  5. 2Working on YouWho you are when you prospect today, and who you need to become
  6. Lunch
  7. 3Facing the FearRejection, worth and money, met head on in a room where it is safe to do so
  8. Break
  9. 4Building the BlueprintYour strategy, your pipeline and the way you will track it, built in the room
  10. Commitments and closeOne page, signed before you leave
  11. 18:00We finish

Ten hours? Are you crazy?

No, we’re insane. That’s rather the point.

Prospecting is hard work, so we won’t pretend that learning to do it well is easy. This is called a bootcamp for a reason: you will be worked hard, you will feel it by the afternoon, and you will leave feeling as though you have had the best business workout of your life.

The long day is what builds the muscle. By the end of it, the conversations you have been avoiding will feel familiar rather than frightening, and you will carry a blueprint you can act on the following morning, along with the numbers to track and the goals to pursue.

Real prospecting feels lighter afterwards.

A taste of the day

There is far more to the day than we can list here, and some of it works best as a surprise. These are a few of the things you’ll get your hands on.

What you leave with

You leave having already started.

Choose your city

Jason will equip you with a powerhouse of the very best immediately-profitable prospecting ideas and move you to action.

Frans Hattingh, 2019 bootcamp

The course content is much more than the usual “how to overcome objections” or “how to create an elevator speech.”

Nick Decker, 2019 bootcamp

He amazes me every time I attend his sessions with the simplicity of “Why didn’t I think of that!” Time spent with Jason is worth every minute.

Author of The Advisor Acquisition Blueprint

Jason spent the first part of his career on your side of the desk, as a client-facing financial advisor and international wealth manager. From 2012 he spent seven years as a financial planning coach, consulting into advisory businesses that wanted to grow, and the question he heard more than any other was always the same: how do we get in front of potential clients?

Insane Prospecting began as his answer to that question. Today he is a partner at FI Consult, working with agencies, franchises and independent practices alike, and he coaches leaders and executives through his own practice.

He has sat in your chair.

Where it began

  1. 2019The first bootcamp runs in Johannesburg, then travels around the country.
  2. 2020The rooms close in March, and the bootcamp becomes a weekly webinar that runs for a year and a half.
  3. 2021A 27-module online course follows, carrying the work to advisors who could not be in the room.
  4. 2026Everything revisited, reimagined and rebuilt for the industry as it stands today, and for advisors as they are now.

The new bootcamp keeps what made the original different: working on yourself rather than only collecting tips, tricks and golden nuggets. It takes you further out of your comfort zone than before, while keeping the room safe enough to practise, so that when you prospect in the real world it already feels familiar.

The original idea, built for today.

What the day costs, and what it could be worth

A full ticket is R4,999, though early bookings may qualify for less. For many advisors that number gives pause, and it is fair to ask whether a single day can be worth it. So look at it the way you would ask a client to look at an investment: what does it take to earn it back?

If you earn commissionOne policywith a reasonable premium
If you charge an ongoing feeOne investmentof a reasonable size
If you bill for your timeAbout two hourswith one new client

That is the whole cost covered. Everything beyond it is return: every first meeting you would not otherwise have booked, every client you would not otherwise have met, and every year of your career in which prospecting no longer stands between you and the business you want.

The day pays for itself once. The confidence keeps paying.
